A Visit

Our friend, Nathan, came to visit from California before he spends a term at L’Abri in Southern England. He brought us a few supplies from back home, helped me learn a better crochet stitch than the one I had been doing, and made us amazing burgers. His friend Camilla from Aberdeen/Dundee/Edinburgh (in that order) also stayed with us, which was wonderful because we could then proceed to bombard her with questions about living in Scotland. Since she knew our new town better than we did, she took us mini-golfing on the “Ladies Putting Green”. I think it is about the closest to the Old Course as we are likely to get anytime soon. It was really fun, and we felt very Scottish playing golf in the blistery breeze from the North Sea in the pouring rain. Here are some pictures for your perusal:

Look at that focus and stance! Probably why he won.

Dinnertime in our place! We have no real table, so we use our desk (thanks, landlord!).

“Have you seen these burgers?! They’re GINORMOUS!!!” (And delicious!)
